Dell XPS 13 Laptop 2019

Not so long ago, back at CES 2019, Dell announced the update of XPS 13 with an improved webcam and are getting to do the same with upcoming XPS 15 and XPS 13 2-in-1 models. The innovative HD webcam is located on the top of the InfinityEdge display, and XPS proudly presents the next generation Dell Cinema. Dell also has overhauled the device with Intel’s long-awaited 10th Gen Ice Lake processors, a new display, and an updated keyboard.

With its finally-improved webcam and longer battery life, the Dell XPS 13 ranks in the top of the best laptops of 2019. You are getting an 8th-generation Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of 2,133MHz DDR3 memory and a 128GB PCIe SSD beneath a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge display.

Dell can truly be happy with its new 2.25 mm webcam, two years in the making, which is not only small enough to fit above the display, but uses a 720p widescreen sensor paired with four far-field microphones for activating Cortana or Alexa from a distance. The laptop is just as thin and light as last year at 0.46 inches (11.6 mm) and 2.7 pounds (1.23 kg). The XPS 13 also remains with the same anodized aluminum screen lid and base, coupled with woven carbon fiber (or glass fiber on light colored models) keyboard deck.

The XPS 13 is available in three colors: silver-on-black, rose gold-on-white and a brand-new frost-on-white scheme.

Nvidia RTX Studio Laptop

Now you can create beautiful scenes with accurate lighting, shadows, and reflections rendered faster than you thought possible. Nvidia claims that in its testing, an upcoming RTX Studio laptop with a Core i7 CPU and an RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU was seven times faster than a MacBook Pro with a Core i9 and AMD’s Radeon Pro Vega 20 graphics in apps like Maya and RedCine-X Pro.

Nvidia is launching a new software-hardware initiative aimed at creators, along with an extensive lineup of laptops to support it. Nvidia Studio is a collection of APIs, SDKs, and drivers for Nvidia RTX GPUs designed to boost performance and efficiency in creative software.

Seven PC manufacturers will be announcing 17 RTX Studio-branded laptops between them at Computex this week, including offerings from Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, MSI, and Razer. The laptops will have options for RTX 2080, 2070, and 2060 GPUs as well as Quadro 5000, 4000, and 3000 models from Nvidia’s workstation range.

The first models will be available in June.

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo Laptop

Asus has really outdone itself with new ZenBook Pro Duo laptop with two 4K screens. It has a 15-inch 16:9 OLED panel where you’d normally find the display on a laptop, and a 32:9 IPS “ScreenPad Plus” screen directly above the keyboard that’s the same width and half the height. So, basically, you have two screens and your imagination how to use them both at the same time.

The ZenBook Pro Duo has up to an eight-core Intel Core i9 processor with an Nvidia RTX 2060 GPU. You will also find four far-field microphones (for Alexa), blue light at the bottom edge that activates with voice commands, a Thunderbolt 3 port, two USB-A ports, a headphone jack, and a full-sized HDMI port.

It weighs 2.5kg (about 5.5lbs). Asus also offers a cheaper and smaller 14-inch model called the ZenBook Duo. The design and concept are basically the same, but both screens are full HD rather than 4K, there’s no Core i9 option, and the discrete GPU has been heavily downgraded to an MX250.

Asus hasn’t announced the price yet but can expect the ZenBook Pro Duo in the third quarter of this year.
