Nokia 9 PureView

The Nokia 9 is a beautiful smartphone with a symmetrical design. It has 5 (!) cameras working simultaneously on every shot, fast and clean software and great haptics. Five 12 MP cameras collect up to 10 times more light than a single smartphone camera color sensor. The result is a vivid detail and realistic colors in each photo you take. If you are a photography enthusiast who wants to do advanced editing, it’s a catch!

Finnish company HMD Global, owners of the Nokia brand, launched the Nokia 9 PureView at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona, end of February 2019. Loaded with Android 9 Pie, this smartphone is as efficient as it is powerful

Art is a process of refinement, removing all that is unwanted until you are left with something pure, yet powerful, like Nokia 9 PureView. It’s a pleasure for your senses. The Nokia 9 features a 5.99” edge-to-edge pOLED QHD display with 2K resolution. With PureDisplay technology, you’ll experience accurate colors and improved sunlight readability.

Nokia X71 Smartphone

Just yesterday Nokia Mobile officially announced its first smartphone with a punch-hole display, 48 MP camera, and a wide-angle camera. The Nokia X71, first introduced in Taiwan, weighs 180 g and features a 6.39-inch, LCD, FullHD+ resolution, and is branded as PureDisplay.

Talking about the design, the X71 reminds us previous Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 6.1 and 7 plus. The frame is aluminum, while the body also features copper accent colors. The front is 93% display and it features a punch-hole where the front 16MP camera sits.

On the back, there is a triple camera setup (like Huawei P30) that includes the 48 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture. The 48 MP sensor produces 12 MP images equivalent to using a 12 MP sensor with 1.6 um. The second one is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera (120 degrees) and we also have a 5MP depth-sensing camera. Dual Hi-cri flash is also there, as well as ZEISS optics and support for OZO Audio.

If we are looking inside, Nokia’s new creation has the Snapdragon 660, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and 3500 mAh battery. The device uses USB Type-C for charging and supports 18 W fast charging. On the back, we also have a fingerprint sensor, and the X71 also features the LED notification light in the power button. The phone also has a MicroSD card slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack. It runs on Android 9 Pie.

The device will be available in Taiwan next week, starting with EUR 345/$ 389. The X71 will be available in just one color option (Black-copper), and the availability for other markets will be announced.
